My passion for costume lies in story telling and breathing life in to characters through their clothing, finding those tiny details that capture the essence of the character and mood of the production. I love to seek out projects with unique and interesting narratives, whatever the genre, from comedy and horror to psychological thrillers and period drama.
I’ve had the pleasure of designing some wonderful productions such as Alice Lowe’s Reincarnation Rom-Com TIMESTALKER. Emmy Nominated Drama Series BARBARIANS RISING. Bafta winning Drama’s RUN and SHELL with Director Scott Graham. Award Winning Drama, NOCTURNAL starring Cosmo Jervis. Bifa wining Comedy ADULT LIFE SKILLS. Rural Drama WRECKERS starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Claire Foy. Bafta Nominated Sci Fi EXAM, and Cannes Award Winning COEN BROTHERS Dark Comedy A FEVER IN THE BLOOD.
I was Nominated for ‘Best Costume Design’ and Awarded a ‘Commendation’ for TIMESTALKER at The Girls On Film Awards 2025. I won ‘Best Costume Design’ for atmospheric Indie Thriller GOD'S ACRE (USA Title 'CONDEMNED') at the Nice International Film Festival 2016. I was honoured to join the Jury for the Costume Design Category for BAFTA Cymru Awards 2018 and 2022.
I studied Costume Design at London College of Fashion, which gave me an excellent understanding of cut and construction in both period tailoring, and contemporary fashion.
I’ve always had a passion for vintage, especially 70’s, 80’s . I have a unique collection of period and contemporary costume stock at my studio, which provides a more affordable, ethical and sustainable approach to costuming.
I’m based in London and South Wales, but always happy to travel Internationally. If you would like to discuss a project get in touch.
“Becky has been one of my regular collaborators since working with her on NATIVE SON (2010) and two of my features, SHELL (2012) and RUN (2020). She has an inspirational attention to detail, working tirelessly to find the right colours and textures to reflect a character’s life and back story, creating a timeless and cinematic world that tells the story through image instead of words. Becky is thoughtful and considerate, Actors love working with her because she has such high standards, creating iconic characters that define the film. Some of my favourite images would not exist without Becky’s contribution. She has been a vital part of the best of my work and I’m deeply grateful to have found her when I did.” Scott Graham - Writer / Director - NATIVE SON, SHELL, RUN
"Becky is a brilliant Designer, her costumes are understated yet memorable and bring both definition to the characters and the film as whole. Her hard work, expertise and dedication was a real asset to the production and support to the team. She is wonderful with the actors and is a delight to work with, and all of this on budget, I can’t recommend her highly enough" Nathalie Biancheri - Writer / Director - NOCTURNAL
“I've been lucky enough to work with Becky on a number of productions, she's the first person I'll call for any project. As a director, I have loved collaborating with someone who so deeply understands the way costume is part of the storytelling and a tool for creating a character. And as a producer I have been hugely impressed by her wealth of experience and by what she is able to achieve with a limited prep time and on a limited budget. On every occasion I've worked with her, I've loved the energy and enthusiasm she has brought to set and have seen how infectious that is with both cast and crew. She's someone I trust implicitly and is simply a joy to work with.” Dee Meaden - Director / Writer / Producer - GOOD NEWS, AN ACTOR, EE
